Mannequin Fashion Week @ Rootstein
Did you know that the first week of December is officially “Mannequin Fashion Week”? Well now you do. Since we make it a habit to only attend the best events we only attended the Rootstein opening.
Rootstein was founded in 1959 by a South African window dresser living in London named Adel Rootstein. Adel’s industry fix was cast mannequins from youthful models like Twiggy.
In the 21st century creative director, Kevin Arpino has assumed leadership, bringing Rootstein’s collections to whats been described as theatrical and occasionally controversial. Each season Mr. Arpino reveals a collection of new “models” dressed in fabulous fashions. This season did not disappoint. For more pictures visit Rockthelook on facebook.
